First thing to tell

The weekend 26th and 27th of september was one of the best weekends I've had during the last years. We had a great performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's "Jesus Christ Superstar" in our town. My mother and I were singing in the choir, my brother played the trumped (yes - we also had a fantastic live orchestra!) and the solists were some of the best singers I've ever heard. The audience was so crazy about it so there were about 1500 people who have seen it this weekend.
Of course some little things went wrong but I think this did not matter. There were just a few mistakes. And except for this it was so ... professional

but also quite difficult. sometimes the lyrics were extremely complicated. And acting as the mob which turned against Jesus was sometimes quite hard. We know all the actors and when it comes to "39 Lashed" and Jesus gets hurt and we - the mob - have to laugh at him ... that's difficult. We all loved the actors and sometimes we really wanted to feel with the characters but we were not allowed to.
This experience was some of the best I'll keep in my mind. I haven't listened to anything else but the audio recording during the last week.
Ah yes, a video of the song "Gethsemane", sung by Markus Psotta, is here:

Next thing to tell

I also have been to Canterbury in England the last days, together with my English Advanced Course.
I still don't know what to say about this town - although I knew it before. But I've never seen it at night. There are students, walking around with nothing on their skin but a greek toga. And some (most) of the girls looked as if they escaped from a brothel.
But the pubs were wonderful. Live music, good beer (CIDER!) and wonderful people to talk with.So many of them were curious because of our pullovers which were grey with a lime green phrase on it: English Adventure Course. We often had to explain what it means ^^
Walking around on the white cliffs of Dover was my highlight. the landscape was so wonderful and the cliffs quite ... white. And extremely high. We tried to throw stones over the edge and wanted to count how long it takes till they hit the water. It didn't work. The cliffs are so high that you simply don't see the stones after some seconds - even the big ones.
We also have been to London one day. But I must admit that it wasn't half interesting as Canterbury. We only found some of this "touristic places" with shops but we simply didn't found better places to walk around. The only thing I really liked was the Tate Modern. That was wonderful. And to anyone who'll visit London I recommend this museum.
So long - wow, what a long entry
